Kālī

Understanding Kālī as a living force across Tantric texts, ritual systems, and vernacular practice.

Kālī Mā

The Kālī traditions represent a powerful and widely diffused current within Kaula and Śākta practice, often preserved in both esoteric texts and vernacular forms.

This project investigates the Tantric sources, ritual systems, and symbolic language through which Kālī is understood as a force of transformation, dissolution, and immediacy.

By bringing together textual study and lived practice, it seeks to bridge the gap between highly codified ritual traditions and their ongoing expression in contemporary religious life.
